Maximilian C. Forte is an assistant professor in the Department of Sociology and Anthropology at Concordia University in Montreal. He is the founding editor of the Caribbean Amerindian Centrelink (www.centrelink.org) and KACIKE: The Journal of Caribbean Amerindian History and Anthropology (www.kacike.org). His published works on the Caribs of Trinidad have appeared in Cultural Survival Quarterly, The Indigenous World, Indigenous Affairs, and edited collections.
